I haven't posted since finding out that I have been accepted onto another program but not a lot has happened since.
A few of us met up at the Trafford centre, was good to put a name to faces that I had been speaking to on the group and was lovely to catch up with my fellow team patty girl Soph! It's crazy how long you can spend talking to people that you have never met before about a shared passion.
As I did the program last summer and my J1 visa expired within the last 12 months, I do not have to go down to London for the appointment to renew my visa. I was able to phone the embassy, answer a few questions and then send off my passport and documents. Even though the guy on the phone said I would be able to get my visa I am still nervous for a few reasons, if it gets rejected or if my passport goes missing on the way to or from the embassy, fingers crossed it all goes to plan.
I am getting so so excited and ansy to get back to Florida. I miss the girls so so much and cannot wait to be finally reunited with them, 6 months is far too long and it will be 8 1/2 by the time I finally get there. We have already made so many plans for this summer, it's going to be amazing!
I have my last semester at uni, I'm only back for 3 1/2 weeks luckily, then it will be home to work and hopefully do my alternative placement.
I have been super keen and printed out my onboarding paperwork and now all I have to do is pay my medical insurance and program assessment fee, just a mere $330. All the more reason for this summer to be amazing!

East coast to West coast
Even before we left for Florida, Rach and I had decided to travel across to California with one of her friends from home when we finished our programme. We left booking everything until last minute but it still all worked out pretty cheap.
On the 31st August we had to leave Patterson, Rachs parents had very kindly booked us in to a suite at the Animal Kingdom Lodge so we moved in there for a few days. It was nice to chill by the pool, top up our tans, I had been working crazy hours the previous couple of weeks so definitely needed a bit more colour! We were able to get in to Hollywood Studios using our I.D cards which allowed us to ride Rock 'N' Roller Coaster countless times and to also watch Fantasmic one last night. Brit had decided to fly down for the weekend, House of Blues was a must, no question about it!!
Our mini Florida vacation came to an end but we were off on our travels to San Diego.
San Diego brought my first experience of staying in a hostel. We had planned to stay in a hostel for three nights, but as soon as we walked in the door we knew we would be staying elsewhere. Being too late to look for a hotel so we checked out the next morning and checked in to the Westinn. It was luxury!!! and also the same price as our hostel. Hosting a roof top pool we knew we had made the right choice! San Diego was very chilled, we walked along the coast, through the city and also visited San Diego zoo.
Next stop was Los Angelos
From LA we boarded the Amtrak to Anaheim, finally after 20 years of watching videos filmed in Disneyland I would finally be able to see the place where it all began for myself.
I left the girls in San Francisco to fly back to Orlando, I had changed my flight a couple of times so that I could stay longer.

I did it!!!!!!!
As soon as I arrived back in the UK from my amazing Summer in the US I
began my application to work back in Walt Disney World in the Summer of
2013. It wasn’t until the last minute of applications being open on
28th September that I finished my application but at least it was in.
Strangely I didn’t have a long wait at all, I checked my emails before
work that evening and I already had a reply asking me to attend a pre
screen selection event, in just under two weeks. I was shocked at how
quickly the email had came through and also a bit anxious as it wasn’t
going to be a phone interview but a group interview.
So on the 10th October, I found my way to Manchester for my pre-screen interview. I had been speaking to a couple of girls before the day so we met at the train station and walked over to the University. As we were sat in the rows a girl walked in looking very familiar to a girl I spent the Summer with, to my shock it was Sophie T! She had reapplied, also not telling any of Team Patty, so was a pleasant surprise. We had a presentation and I welled up at the excitement of possibly going again but also at all of the memories this Summer held. I had to wait until 3:30 for my interview, which made the nerves build up so, so much! I couldn’t even think of why I wanted to work for Disney. Eventually the time came to head up to the room. I was being interviewed by Yummy Jobs Nick and James. My interview was with 9 other participants. I was the only person that had completed the program before and wasn’t sure how this would go for me. Some questions were asked to the whole group but then some questions were only directed at me. We also had a different activity where we had to sell an item with a British background, I had a sword and shield, I promoted it along the lines of being a Prince and rescuing your Princess from a dragon. I walked out not sure of how it went but hopeful.
Luckily it was only another short wait to find out about the face to face interviews. We were told we would find out by 5pm on the Friday, so two days after our interview. This day turned out to be the longest day ever, no matter how busy I tried to keep myself my mind was set on this email. 5pm came and went and I had no email, I felt deflated but remembered that last year it wasn’t until 6:15 that I received my email accepting me onto the program. I checked my emails again and there it was, I nervously opened it expecting a no, but to my surprise it was a date for my face to face interview.
24th October was to be the day of my face to face interview. I was going home for a few days so I flew back to Manchester to have my interview. I stayed with Sophie and as I had arrived on my birthday she surprised me with a Mickey Mouse cake and we went out for a lovely dinner at Jamies Italian. I woke up on Wednesday morning after not having the best of sleeps but was excited for the interview. Some of the girls I had worked with over the Summer told me that our big manager would be coming over to carry out some of the interviews, so I was hopeful that he would be interviewing me. We watched some more presentations and I chuckled whilst teary eyed my way through them. Yet again I had to wait until 3:30 but luckily so did Sophie, we went back to her place to watch Tangled before heading back for our interview. We had to wait an extra torturous hour as they were running late but finally it was our time. I was told my interview would be with Sue, I was a tad nervous but as son as I walked in I could feel the wicked smile on my face and all my enthusiasm was there. The interview passed with me smiling away, resulting in my cheeks hurting and I walked out feeling content with how it went but also a bit anxious as I had a couple of points on my record card. By Friday 9th November we would find out our fate.
Friday 2nd November I was at work, flicking through twitter and tumblr when I saw that people had been receiving emails. I checked mine and there was my email, holding my breath I opened it and the first thing I saw was Congratulations. Instantly I burst in to tears and called my mum. I can’t believe I had done it again! It was strange as there had been signs happening the last few days, only on Friday morning had I come across this guys tumblr that was applying for the ICP, I met him whilst I was working at The Land. Kit and I headed off to the gym and I spotted a woman with a Disneyland Paris t-shirt and then the ultimate advert came on. It was meant to be*
